UNIVISION, KRYP 93.1 FM "EL REY" TOP PORTLAND LATINO MEDIA MARKETSHARE

A 2011 study of Portland Hispanics adults regarding their media consumption showed an impressive 71.8% watch Univision, similar to the station’s 72.3% mark last year.

KRYP 93.1 FM, know as “El Rey”, is listened by 60.5% of Latino adults, jumping from 50.6% last year.

This is the fourth consecutive year Univision has ranked as the most consumed Latino media in the Portland market.

From December 1 to January 28, Rojo Research interviewed Latino adults from 408 households in Multnomah, Washington, Marion, Clackamas, and Clark (WA) counties for a 50-question, 26 minute study.

41% of respondents participated in telephone interviews, while 59% participated in in-person interviews at 24 local retail locations through the five county Portland metropolitan region.

Rojo Research captured over 350 data points on local media consumption, purchasing plans, shopping behavior and personal demographics.
