ABILENE CHRISTIAN ATHLETICS CHOOSE ROJO RESEARCH FOR FAN STUDY
WILDCATS ATTEMPT TO DISTINGUISH PROGRAM FOR LOCAL & REGIONAL SPONSORS

Abilene, TX – Abilene Christian University athletics has selected Rojo Research to perform a study on fan demographics. Rojo Research will capture data on fan demographics, purchasing plans, shopping behavior and event experience; with such data leveraged to provide a return on investment for corporate sponsors.

"Given our rich history of athletics success, we believe that our partnership with Rojo Research will allow us to market our programs more effectively," ACU director of athletics Jared Mosley said. Founded in 1906, ACU has an enrollment of more than 4,700 students, including more than 600 graduate students. ACU continued its top-tier ranking in the 2009 U.S. News & World Report on "America's Best Colleges," and is now recognized as No. 1 in a new category saluting innovation among 70 schools that peer institutions believe "everyone should be watching."

ACU fields 16 NCAA Division II sports and is a member of the Lone Star Conference. ACU's athletics program has won 55 team national championships, which is fourth in NCAA history, trailing only UCLA, Stanford, and USC.

Notable ACU alumni include Gordon Bethune, former CEO of Continental Airlines; R. Gerald Turner, president of Southern Methodist University; former Philadelphia Eagles running back Wilbert Montgomery; best-selling Christian author Max Lucado; Chicago Bears defensive back Danieal Manning; and three-time Olympic gold medalist and Sports Illustrated's 1956 "Sportsman of the Year," Bobby Morrow.

Rojo Research specializes in college audience research to assist athletics programs to increase corporate sponsorship revenues. Launched in September 2006, the company has quickly risen to become one of the largest providers of audience research for NCAA member institutions.

Through phone and web-based methodology, Rojo Research captures over 400 data points, including demographics, purchasing trends, shopping habits and local media consumption. ACU joins Newberry College, Minnesota State University and Northwest Missouri State University as the fourth Division II program to partner with Rojo Research. The Wildcats are also Rojo's third college client from Texas, joining University of Texas-San Antonio and Lamar University.

Rojo Research also offers local qualitative Spanish media research, and recently completed research in behalf of media outlets in the Portland, OR market.
