LAMAR UNIVERSITY CARDINALS SEEK ROJO RESEARCH TO INCREASE SPONSORSHIP SALES
Beaumont, TX. – Lamar University Athletics selects Rojo Research to perform study on fan demographics.
Rojo Research will capture data on fan demographics, purchasing plans, shopping behavior and event experience; with such data leveraged to provide a return on investment for corporate sponsors.
“I’m excited about the research we are about to conduct with Rojo Research! The sponsorship market is quickly changing and companies, both large and small, want to see that their advertising dollars are being spent in market niches that make the most sense,” remarks Brad McGowan, Lamar University Associate Athletics Director. “Although, every university has hometown companies who will support regardless of what they receive in return, a growing number of corporate entities need to see numbers and demographics that tell them your fan-base is a potential customer base.”

Lamar University fields 13 NCAA Division I sports and has won over 60 Southland Conference titles. Established in 1923 as a junior college, the institution has an enrollment more than 11,000 students, and offers over 100 undergraduate degrees and 47 masters and doctoral degrees.
Noted alumni include singer Janis Joplin, former NFL Coach Bum Phillips, Baltimore Orioles player Kevin Millar, and radio DJ Jiles Perry Richardson – aka “The Big Bopper”.
Lamar University joins McNeese State University as the second Southland Conference institution to retain Rojo Research to perform a fan demographics survey.
