PORTLAND, OR – Almost half of Rojo Research’s 61 collegiate clients are in 2010 post-season basketball tournaments, representing 25 colleges and universities, and 35 men’s and women’s programs.

Rojo partners New Mexico State, Montana, Northern Iowa, and Butler received automatic births to the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament for winning their respective conference tournaments; while California and Utah State were regular season champions and received at-large bids.

The NCAA Division I Women’s Tournament field includes Louisiana Tech, Mississippi State, Fresno State, Lamar, Cleveland State, Liberty, Portland State, Northern Iowa, and Bowling Green.

For the Division II Men’s Tournament, Humboldt State, Western Washington, Cal-State San Bernardino, and Minnesota State-Mankato were selected.

The Division II Women’s Tournament field includes Newberry, West Texas A&M, Humboldt State, and Western Washington.

In Canada, Simon Fraser University is the number one seed in the 2010 Canadian Interuniversity Sports (CIS) Women’s Basketball Tournament.

The National Invitation Tournament is the oldest post-season tournament in college basketball, started in 1938 – a year prior to the NCAA’s first championship in 1939. The 2010 Men’s NIT invitees include Rojo clients Weber State, Texas Tech, Nevada, and Mississippi State.

The 2010 Women’s NIT field of 64 includes California, New Mexico State, Texas Tech, Nevada, Butler, and Wyoming.

Louisiana Tech Bulldogs men’s team has been invited to play in the Postseason Tournament.
