Burnaby, BC – Simon Fraser University Athletics has selected Rojo Research to provide fan demographic in effort to increase corporate sponsorship revenue.

Rojo Research will capture data on fan demographics, purchasing plans, shopping behavior, game attendance trends, and event experience.

Named after Canadian-born explorer Simon Fraser, SFU opened in September, 1965. The university has over 25,000 undergraduate and graduate students with three campuses in Burnaby, Vancouver, and Surrey, British Columbia. Simon Fraser University has been rated as Canada's best comprehensive university in the annual ranking by Maclean's magazine in 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, and 2008.

Simon Fraser University fields 15 varsity sports and participates in Canadian Interuniversity Sports (CIS) and the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics). SFU women's basketball and men's wrestling programs recently won their respective 2009 CIS championships, while the women's wrestling team captured second in the CIS Women's Championship, and third in the WCWA Women's College Wrestling Championships. Simon Fraser's programs have won the NAIA NACDA Director's Cup five times.
