Seattle University has a very distinguished college athletics history, with the apex of playing for the 1958 NCAA Mens Basketball Champion game against University of Kentucky.
The squad was led by NBA Hall of Fame member Elgin Baylor. In the 1960s, Seattle University produced more NBA players than any other college.
Founded in 1891, the Jesuit Catholic institution offers 61 undergraduate degree programs 31 graduate and 27 certificate programs. The student population is more than 7,700 students.
