Ogden, UT. – Weber State University Athletics has commissioned Rojo Research to perform a study on alumni. Rojo Research will capture data on demographics and data to develop a strategy to increase men’s basketball attendance. The company will implore a combination of phone interviews and web-based survey methodology to poll the target audience.

“The Weber State basketball program has the 24th highest winning percentage in NCAA Division I history. Coach Rahe is swiftly building the program back to its former prominence”, remarks John Herron, President of Rojo Research. “We are enthused to help Weber State gain a greater understanding of its audience to best position the product to fans and alumni.”

Weber State sponsors 15 NCAA Division I sports and is a member of the Big Sky Conference. The university will add Women's Softball in the spring of 2010 to make 9 women's sports and 7 men's teams for a total of 16 NCAA sport teams.

Founded in 1889 by the Church of Latter-Day Saints, the church transferred the institution to the State of Utah in 1933. Weber State University has an enrollment more than 18,000 students. The university offers over 215 undergraduate degrees, the most in Utah.

Noted alumni include David M. Kennedy, former U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, Dee Hock, creator of the VISA credit card, J. Willard Marriot, founder of Marriot International, Robert Dotson, CEO of T-Mobile, Nolan D. Archibald, CEO of Black & Decker, UCLA Head Men’s Basketball Coach Ben Howland, and Heber C. Jentzsch, President of the Church of Scientology International.

Weber State University joins Idaho State University, University of Montana, Montana State University, and Portland State University as the fifth Big Sky Conference institution to retain Rojo Research to perform a fan demographics survey.
