UNIVERSITY OF CALGARY DINOS TEAR INTO SPONSORSHIP MARKET
CALGARY, AB – University of Calgary Athletics has commissioned Rojo Research to perform a fan demographic study in an effort to increase corporate sponsorship revenue.
Established in 1945 as the Calgary branch of the University of Alberta, the University of Calgary gained autonomy in 1966. The U of C offers over 150 degree options, and has an enrollment of more than 29,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional degree program students.
The University of Calgary is a comprehensive research university, ranked one of Canada’s top seven research universities and a member of the 13 most research intensive universities in Canada (the G13). U of C has fostered a strong reputation for its programs in geosciences and engineering. The Times Higher Education Supplement ranked the University of Calgary 148th in the world.
The Dinos are a member of the Canada West conference, a division of the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) and offers 15 men's and women's programs.
University of Calgary’s noted alumni include the Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper; astronaut Robert Thirsk; President & CEO, TransCanada Corporation, Harold Kvisle; and James Gosling, inventor of the Java programming language.
The Dinos are fourth Canadian organization to partner with Rojo joining Wilfrid Laurier University, Simon Fraser University, and the Saskatchewan Roughriders Football Club of the Canadian Football League.
Launched in September 2006, the company has quickly risen to one of the largest providers of audience research for NCAA member institutions and professional sports organizations with over 80 partners throughout the U.S and Canada.
Rojo Research also offers syndicated local-market Latino media research, and will launch its 2010 Yakima/Tri-City (WA) Study on May 11.
