High Point, NC. – High Point University Athletics has picked Rojo Research to perform a study on fan demographics. Rojo Research will capture data on fan demographics, purchasing plans, shopping behavior and event experience; with such data leveraged to provide a return on investment for corporate sponsors.

High Point University fields 14 NCAA Division I sports and is a member of the Big South Conference.

Founded in 1924, High Point College was a joint venture between the Methodist Protestant Church and the citizens of High Point. The university has an enrollment of approximately 3,000 students. In 2007, High Point University was ranked in the top tier of "Southern Comprehensive Undergraduate Colleges." HPU finished 6th out of 47 comprehensive undergraduate colleges in the South, as ranked by US News and World Report.

Noted alumni include Grammy-winning Country Music singer/songwriter Donna Fargo, University of Minnesota Head Basketball Coach Tubby Smith, Bryan Stockdale, Executive Vice-President of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, and former U.S. Senator Lauch Faircloth (R-NC).

High Point joins Liberty as the second Big South member to commission Rojo Research to perform fan research. Other southern institutions include McNeese State, New Orleans, Louisiana Tech, Winston-Salem State, USC-Upstate, Kennesaw State, North Carolina Central, and Belmont.

Rojo Research specializes in college audience research to assist athletics programs to increase corporate sponsorship revenues. Launched in 2006, the company has quickly risen to one of the largest providers of audience research for NCAA member institutions.
