UCF KNIGHTS TAPS ROJO RESEARCH FOR FAN STUDY - December 22, 2008

Orlando, FL. – University of Central Florida Athletics has selected Rojo Research to perform a study on fan demographics, particularly focused on football season ticket purchasers.

“Most of our projects focus on research to support corporate sponsorship revenue initiatives, but UCF - which may have developed the most comprehensive and pro-active ticket marketing program in the NCAA – desires to better understand their fans and ticket purchasers to broaden their audience and ultimately increase sales.” remarks John Herron, president of Rojo Research. “Such a project is a phenomenal opportunity for Rojo, and we’re extremely grateful UCF contacted us to become a partner.”

“It is critical that we continue to understand the needs and desires of the UCF Athletics fan base,” said Keith Tribble, Director of Athletics.  “So much has changed on the UCF campus the past few seasons with the opening of Bright House Networks Stadium and the UCF Arena that we are in a totally different operational situation than when most of our fans were in school.”

Founded in 1963, the public institution has an enrollment of more than 50,000 students. The University of Central Florida offers 97 baccalaureate, 95 masters, and 28 doctoral programs. One of the founding goals of the university was to act as a support system for the Kennedy Space Center.
